ETC is building a trusted network of informed contributors across the region who can help us verify information, identify meaningful stories, and add the real-world context that only local knowledge can provide.
If you live in the Caribbean or spend at least five months of every year in the region, your perspective can help ensure the Caribbean is represented with greater accuracy, depth, and nuance.
ETC exists to make the region more understandable, discoverable, and accessible through engaging, research-driven content. To do that properly, we need trusted people who understand the realities, conversations, institutions, cultures, and changes shaping their own countries and territories.
The ETC Research Contributor Network will help strengthen the accuracy, relevance, and depth of the stories we tell about the Caribbean.
ETC believes that people who help shape the regional conversation should be visible within it.
When an approved contribution is developed into a standalone ETC Instagram post, ETC may publish the post as an Instagram collaboration with the contributor’s account, subject to editorial judgement and Instagram platform requirements.
This gives contributors public recognition while helping build a more informed, connected, and credible Caribbean media ecosystem.
ETC reviews applications selectively and may verify an applicant’s identity, Caribbean connection, local knowledge, public professional footprint, and relevant experience before accepting them into the network.
Accepted contributors may also be asked to complete a short introductory conversation or initial research exercise before receiving contributor opportunities.
ETC Research Contributors are expected to treat unpublished editorial requests, research questions, and project information with discretion.
Tell us about your connection to the Caribbean, the country or territory you know best, and the perspective you can bring to ETC.
